Yippedy yay - Wood was a blast, as expected!

I was really really really glad i had the chance to perform together with Mayhem, was like the good ol' days, when we ran the Duplox Terror Show. It was wikkid! We started playing around 22.00, at 22.50 Droon was up & the venue was starting to get packed & hot.
It was nice to see all those familiar faces again! Woodcrew connecting people ;-)
My memories of the evening are a bit blurry, i think that bottle of whiskey had something to do with it....
Was kinda funny, i was chilling backstage, all of the sudden this big american rushes in, goes for the whiskey, drinks a good gulp & put the bottle on the table with us, shouting stuff like "yeah! cmon! you can do it! YEAH!"

Me, being a true Belgian who can boast holding his liquour went with it, and we started boozing up. While chatting it became clear to me that the Big American Dude was Donna Summer - i thought i recognised him from somewhere (his first Wood-appearance was a few years ago, in the Ledeberg squat @ Fransevaart r.i.p.)
By then, the damage was done - and i started partying away. All of the sudden the lights came on, i checked my watch, and yes, it was closing time.....

Too bad Vooruit has such strict policies about closing hours...party could have lasted alooot longer i think.
But, mission succeeded! Nice sets from most artists, good (but kinda weird) atmosphere & a sound technician who did his best to give us a god sound, even when he, and i quote him "I dont understand this kinda music..."

Also, on the 15th of november I will be playing @ Club Kinky Star. This won't be a party but a "café-dj" thing, playing nice music of all kinds of styles. I'm really looking forward to this one, at last a chance to play out music i love listening to. So don't be surprised if you hear Charlie Parker, Pantera & Kraftwerk in a ten-minute timespan ;-)
